Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative – Manufacturing to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, solving problems, learning technical products, and building long-term relationships . You will support customers in the manufacturing, industrial, construction, and OEM markets by understanding their needs, recommending products and solutions, preparing quotations, coordinating orders, and working closely with our Outside Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Branch teams. No fastener experience? That's okay. We provide extensive product and industry training. Because of the breadth of our products, applications, specifications, and customer requirements, it can take up to a year to become fully proficient in this role. We're looking for someone who is curious, mechanically minded, detail-oriented, and eager to become a trusted resource for our customers. What You'll Do Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with manufacturing, industrial, construction, and OEM customers. Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, website, and in person. Ask questions and understand customer requirements to recommend the right products and solutions. Learn and develop knowledge of industrial fasteners, hardware, materials, grades, finishes, specifications, and applications. Prepare accurate quotes and follow up with customers to earn and grow business. Follow up on customer orders, special orders, and quotations to ensure commitments are met. Work with Purchasing and suppliers to source specialty, non-stock, and hard-to-find products. Communicate product availability, pricing, lead times, order status, and potential delays to customers. Identify opportunities for additional products and services that can benefit customers. Recognize sales opportunities and partner with Outside Sales and Branch Management when additional support is needed. Coordinate with Warehouse personnel to ensure orders are accurately pulled, staged, and ready for pickup or shipment. Work with Accounting regarding new accounts, credit requirements, and applicable pre-lien programs. Maintain accurate customer, quote, and order information in the ERP system. Proactively resolve customer issues and communicate with internal teams to provide an exceptional customer experience. What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in inside sales, industrial sales, manufacturing, distribution, construction, customer account management, sales support, or a related field preferred. Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, construction, OEM, MRO, fasteners, hardware, or related products is a plus. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn technical products and applications. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication, customer service, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple customer requests, quotes, and orders in a fast-paced environment. Strong relationship-building skills. Experience with an ERP system or similar business management software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. The Ideal Candidate You're more than an order taker . Your experience may come from manufacturing, industrial distribution, construction, project coordination, purchasing, estimating, technical customer service, or sales . You don't need to know our products on day one. We will train you. What matters most is that you have the curiosity, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, customer-service mindset, and desire to become highly knowledgeable in the industry.
