Cedarvale Commons is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead and support all aspects of human resources for our skilled nursing community. This position is ideal for an organized, people-focused HR professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting employees, and creating a positive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all daily human resources functions for the facility

• Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes

• Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel records

• Coordinate new-hire orientation and ensure required documentation is completed

• Manage employee relations, including coaching, counseling, and performance management

• Partner with department leaders to address staffing and employee concerns

• Monitor attendance, employee retention, and staffing trends

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies

• Coordinate employee benefits, leave requests, and other HR programs

• Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives

• Conduct exit interviews and identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction

• Maintain knowledge of applicable employment laws and long-term care regulations

• Serve as a trusted resource and advocate for both employees and facility leadership

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in Human Resources; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organization and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters professionally

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with facility leadership

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related systems

• Experience with employee recruitment and retention strategies preferred
