Then you are in the right place… Summary of Position Functions The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface field-based activities, and other duties required to execute projects, construction management, and project management ventures. Essential Position Functions Assists the Project Manager with the pre-construction process, project budgets, reviewing required work with subcontractors, and preplanning operational activities. Assists the Project Manager by reviewing scopes of work. Assists the Project Manager in building and maintaining strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Project Team, and Subcontractors. Communicates regularly with all involved parties regarding project plans, status of the project, upcoming activities, and open issues. Assists the Project Manager with setting up initial budgets by tabulating each required scope of work and inputting into required project management and accounting systems. Education and Qualifications To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field or a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) + years construction experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge. Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required. Knowledge of Energy Services Construction. Knowledge and familiarity with architectural drawings. Ability to maintain a proactive approach in problem solving and issue management. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload. Ability to communicate safety plans as needed. Ability to resolve any safety related conflicts with the customer and inside Veregy. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed. Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
