Controller Position
Hiring a Controller for a high growth manufacturer with their offices in Scottsdale, AZ.
Job Description
- The Controller will manage all aspects of financial reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting policies and procedures to improve financial operations.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Manage WIP and Project Cost reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company growth and financial stability.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff to enhance team performance and development.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Controller should have:
- A strong background in Accounting & Finance within manufacturing or other related project costing/WIP type businesses.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes.
- Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ASC 606.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage and mentor teams effectively.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Navision, SAP, MS Dynamics or other relevant accounting software and tools.
- Experience with system implementations is preferred.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- This role is onsite and based in Scottsdale, AZ.
