We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Author Client Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working closely with authors/clients, managing their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction. This role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and extensive marketing experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management
2. • Serve as the primary point of contact for authors, managing all aspects of the author-client relationship.
   • Understand and anticipate authors' needs, providing personalized support and guidance throughout publishing.
   • Maintain regular communication with authors to keep them informed and engaged.
3. Project Coordination
4. • Coordinate and oversee the entire book marketing process, from manuscript submission to final publication.
   • Ensure that all project milestones and deadlines are met, maintaining high organization and attention to detail.
   • Collaborate with internal teams (editors, designers, marketers) to ensure seamless project execution.
5. Book Marketing and Promotion
6. • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to each author’s needs and goals.
   • Utilize various marketing channels (social media, email campaigns, book signings, etc.) to promote authors and their works effectively.
   • Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
7. Author Support
8. • Provide ongoing support to authors, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
   • Offer guidance on best practices for author branding, audience engagement, and market trends.
9. Administrative Duties
10. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of author communications, project statuses, and marketing activities.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of client management processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in a client management or similar role.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in marketing, including digital and traditional marketing strategies.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with authors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management and CRM software.
• A passion for books and the publishing industry.

• Experience in a publishing house or literary agency.
• A background in marketing or communications.
• Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in book marketing.
