Senior Property Accountant

A publicly traded company in the Baltimore, MD area is seeking a Property Accountant to support their growing team. This position offers a competitive salary + bonus + equity, and a generous benefits package. Must have CPA or taken some test so far. Responsibilities: Maintain financial integrity for a portfolio of properties to comply with GAAP, company policies, and contract arrangements Month-end close procedures for assigned properties Monthly journal entries for revenue, CAM accruals, and tenant billings; accruals for monthly operating expenses; variance analysis; ensure internal controls are maintained Review lease documents to ensure accuracy; assist with annual adjustment billings Assist with preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts Ensure timely payment, recording, and coding of invoices Assist in maintaining books and records for an assigned property portfolio; prepare balance sheet reconciliations Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA preferred 2+ years of relevant accounting experience Familiarity with accounting systems; Voyager preferred GAAP and SOX knowledge Public Accounting and/or Property Accounting experience are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
