Locums - Englewood, Florida Emergency Medicine Openings

Clinical Role

Provide Emergency Medicine coverage for a 3-month locum assignment. Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and affiliated freestanding emergency departments.

Assignment Details

Start Date: November 12, 2026

Contract Length: 3 months

Schedule:

• Physician shifts: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Minimum 6-8 shifts per month
• Day, night, and weekend availability required
• 2 FTE coverage need
• 12-hour shifts required at affiliated FSEDs

Clinical Details

• 18-bed Emergency Department
• Approximately 20,000 annual visits
• Approximately 50-70 patients per day depending on season
• APP coverage during peak hours
• Primary Stroke Center
• MRI, CT, X-ray, and Ultrasound available
• Phlebotomy support available as needed
• Meditech P-doc EMR and M-Modal Dictation

Requirements

• Board Certified - Required
• Active Florida license - Required
• ACLS - Required
• Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians considered with waiver and 2 years of current Emergency Medicine practice
• Must be willing to provide coverage at affiliated FSEDs
