Job Opportunity - Office Assistant - Mount Vernon, NY

A medium-sized masonry and concrete contractor based in Mount Vernon, NY is seeking an experienced and reliable Office Assistant to join our team. Immediate start. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day administrative and accounting functions of the office. Previous experience with QuickBooks, data entry, and certified payroll is required. Responsibilities Enter and maintain information in QuickBooks Perform accurate and timely data entry Prepare, process, and maintain certified payroll reports Assist with weekly payroll documentation and employee records Enter and process invoices, purchase orders, and other accounting information Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as required Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails Prepare documents, spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence Assist Project Managers and management with administrative tasks Communicate with employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers Perform general office duties as required Requirements Previous experience using QuickBooks Experience with certified payrolls Strong data-entry and computer skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Good written and verbal communication skills Reliable and professional Experience working for a construction contractor is strongly preferred Full-time position Monday through Friday Office-based in Mount Vernon, NY – 60-80k depending on experience Health insurance 401(k) matching Paid vacation We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy construction office environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Aisling Irish Community Center Inc
