Solutions Architect

Position: Solutions Architect Duration: 12 months Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid work- Locals only) Anticipated start date: 09/01/2026 Interview Mode: In person **SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS: Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite at the location listed above. **Subject to change per the hiring team** Project will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius). **DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES** Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Cloud Solutions Architect 3 , hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Cloud Solutions Architect 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s). The cloud architect is responsible for the cloud computing initiatives within an organization and for directing the architectural aspects of a cloud brokering team across all aspects of IT and the business. Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's cloud computing infrastructure and applications. Implements and designs hardware and software. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Supports a regulated, multi-cloud enterprise environment, requiring expertise in data/AI platforms, vendor coordination, monitoring, and 24 7 operations, while ensuring security, compliance, and system reliability. **Minimum Requirements: CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Multi Cloud Platform Expertise (Azure + GCP) 8 Required GenAI & Enterprise AI Platform Knowledge (Gemini, Vertex AI) 8 Required Expertise in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, GCP Cloud Monitoring, and logging frameworks to track performance, reliability, and usage. 8 Required Experience using Logstash for log ingestion, transformation, and integration with Azure Log Analytics for proactive monitoring and alerting 8 Required Ability to design alerting solutions using Twilio (SMS/voice) for ETL failures and operational notifications. 8 Required Experience with Blob Storage, Data Lakes, and structured storage systems enabling analytics and AI workloads. 8 Required Hands-on experience supporting data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics workloads in enterprise environments 8 Required Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS), Secure Agents, APIs, and integration patterns, including handling monitoring and integration challenges. 8 Required Strong implementation of IAM (least privilege), network security, audit logging, and compliance (FedRAMP/regulated env.). 8 Required Ability to support Tier 2/3 issues, debug logs, resolve platform access issues, and maintain stability in production environments 3 Preferred Familiarity building and managing Tableau Cloud environments 3 Preferred Experience integrating ArcGIS or geospatial data systems with cloud data platforms. 3 Preferred Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) and automation (serverless, CI/CD pipelines).
