Registered Nurse - ICU

$2937.60/week –

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide expert bedside care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery. The role involves managing complex cases in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, adhering to established protocols and medical orders.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at optimizing health outcomes.
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on ongoing care, discharge instructions, and transfer procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, interventions, and response to treatments in the EMR system.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring new staff, participating in patient conferences, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required, with comfort in floating to Emergency Department and Step-down units.
• Valid Michigan State RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN certifications preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
• Experience with neuro-surgical and open-heart nursing preferred.
