Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a rotating shift travel position requiring pediatric and neonate experience.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital
• Respiratory Therapy department
• Rotating day/night shifts, 5:30a-6p and 5:30p-6a
• No call required
• No floating required
• EMR: MedHost

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Pediatric and neonate experience required
• Current RRT certification
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (must obtain NRP before or immediately upon start if not already held)
• New Mexico RT license required
• License required if applicable
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor responses to respiratory treatments and pharmacological interventions
• Perform and document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures and report results promptly
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, including intubations and arterial line insertion
• Manage ventilator settings and airway maintenance for patient safety and comfort
• Perform pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible if worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
