Senior Associate, Product Manager - Capital One Travel

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Capital One Travel. This role is a Product Manager responsible for the end‑to‑end customer experience of our travel fintech products as part of our Capital One Travel fintech team. We are a fast‑paced, get‑stuff‑done team solving difficult problems in unique ways. We’re focused on scaling our products to millions of customers and refining the experience to create a product that customers can’t live without. Responsibilities Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to build the future of Capital One Travel fintech in partnership with Hopper. Partner with business & design peers to craft a product strategy for the ideal fintech customer experience and drive rapid testing and new product development. Be obsessed with creating exceptional customer experiences: deep dive into feedback, lead usability and observational research with our design team, synthesize insights, and prioritize optimizations and new features on the backlog. Think strategically about how to prioritize the roadmap to balance building a product that customers love with driving growth and value for the business. Key Focus Areas Human Centered Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria and raise additional research needs for future feature design. Break down business epics into features and further into user stories, driving the team toward lowest effort or MVP for valid feature testing. Business Focused Demonstrate a growth mindset and use hypothesis‑driven assessment of data to ensure products deliver real business needs. Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk. Technology Driven Work autonomously in an agile environment to conduct research and develop features that use new and evolving technology. Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject‑matter experts to build cutting‑edge solutions for customers. Deliver well‑managed product platforms by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy. Transformational Leadership Participate in horizontal forums, building trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders, and partner teams. Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share it with stakeholders, becoming the product matter expert. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience. At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering. 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer‑facing digital products. 1+ years working on core product platforms powering digital experiences. 1+ years as a product owner in an agile development process with cross‑functional teams. Salary ranges (annual, base only) by location: McLean, VA: $111,200 – $126,900 – Sr. Associate, Product Management New York, NY: $121,300 – $138,400 – Sr. Associate, Product Management Richmond, VA: $101,100 – $115,400 – Sr. Associate, Product Management This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
