Communities Lifting Communities (CLC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliate of the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC). CLC partners with hospitals, health systems, public health agencies, health plans, community-based organizations, community clinics, government partners, and residents to improve health care systems, accessibility, and community health throughout Southern California.CLC advances systems change and health equity through data, prevention strategies, leadership, and alliances. Its work includes community health improvement, birth equity, behavioral and mental health, homelessness, supplier diversity and economic opportunity, cultural and language accessibility, health care workforce development, and other social drivers of health. CLC serves as a convener and backbone organization for collaborative initiatives across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Regional Healthcare Integration Coordinator provides high-level administrative, operational, communications, and program support to the Executive Director and the CLC team. The role combines executive coordination with meaningful involvement in CLC programs, regional stakeholder engagement, communications, financial administration, meetings, events, and organizational learning.This position regularly works with hospital executives, public health professionals, community leaders, elected officials, government representatives, nonprofit partners, and other stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL DO
The following responsibilities represent the essential functions of the position.Executive Support and Governance
- Provide comprehensive administrative and organizational support to the Executive Director, including calendar management, travel, meeting logistics, event registrations, expenses, and competing priorities.
- Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings with hospital executives, elected officials, board and advisory members, public agencies, community leaders, and other partners; prepare agendas, presentations, correspondence, briefing materials, and background information.
- Attend meetings, capture concise notes and decisions, and maintain systems for tracking deadlines, commitments, deliverables, assignments, and follow-up actions.
- Review incoming requests and communications, identify priorities, support timely responses, and handle confidential or sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Support CLC Board of Directors and advisory activities, including scheduling, meeting preparation, materials distribution, recordkeeping, and follow-up.
Project and Team Coordination
- Maintain project plans, calendars, trackers, deadlines, status updates, and organized records that keep the CLC team aligned and on schedule.
- Coordinate recurring staff meetings and follow up with team members and external partners on priorities, decisions, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Support community health initiatives, collaborative projects, grant-funded work, workshops, educational programs, conferences, and regional convenings.
- Collect, organize, and present program information, community feedback, participant data, and project outcomes.
- Coordinate across HASC functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Communications, Advocacy and Public Policy, Education, Events, and Regional Operations, and provide administrative support for grants, contracts, partnership agreements, and reporting requirements.
Community Outreach and Stakeholder Engagement
- Support outreach to hospitals, health plans, community clinics, community-based organizations, public agencies, elected officials, residents, and other partners throughout Southern California.
- Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and participate in community meetings, listening sessions, public events, regional convenings, and outreach activities.
- Prepare stakeholder lists, invitations, registration materials, surveys, updates, and follow-up communications and respond professionally to individuals at all organizational levels.
- Represent CLC consistently with its mission and values and travel to meetings, events, and community locations throughout the six-county service area.
Communications, Marketing, Fundraising and Digital Content
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, presentations, newsletters, meeting summaries, website content, outreach materials, and other communications.
- Translate complex program or policy information into clear, concise, and accessible content and help develop flyers, invitations, informational resources, toolkits, and digital materials.
- Maintain and update the CLC WordPress website, ensuring program, news, event, and resource content is accurate, accessible, consistent, and current.
- Coordinate with HASC Communications on CLC branding, external communications, social media, media materials, public-facing content, email campaigns, stakeholder databases, and registration platforms.
- Support fundraising and fund-development activities through research, communications, materials preparation, and administrative coordination related to funding opportunities.
Financial and Operational Support
- Assist the Executive Director with routine financial administration and budget monitoring; review and reconcile financial statements, transaction reports, invoices, expense records, and internal tracking documents.
- Compare financial activity against approved budgets, identify discrepancies requiring review, and maintain accurate supporting documentation and organized financial records.
- Coordinate with HASC Finance on invoices, payments, expense reports, contracts, deposits, donations, vendors, and related documentation.
- Assist with budget reports, financial summaries, grant documentation, leadership or board materials, vendor administration, purchasing, contracts, subscriptions, nonprofit records, and operational reporting.
Health Policy and Organizational Learning
- Participate in HASC meetings addressing organizational policies, operations, advocacy, and developments affecting hospitals and health care, as well as virtual meetings involving the California Hospital Association and regional hospital associations.
- Monitor public health, community health, and health policy developments and share concise, relevant information with the Executive Director and CLC team.
- Research community needs, legislation, government programs, funding opportunities, and potential partnerships, and prepare briefing materials and background summaries to support meetings and decision-making.

Required Skills and Capabilities
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage calendars, meetings, projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, presentation, and verbal communication skills for executive, professional, government, and community audiences.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with hospital executives, elected officials, public agencies, community leaders, residents, partners, and colleagues.
- Initiative, sound judgment, adaptability, discretion, and ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving, mission-driven environment.
- Basic financial literacy and ability to review and reconcile financial statements, invoices, transactions, expense records, and budget reports.
- Experience maintaining websites using WordPress and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom.
- Ability to learn and use project-management, contact-management, registration, survey, email, and other communications platforms.
- Valid California driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation for regional business travel.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; education in public health, health administration, public administration, community development, political science, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in executive support, nonprofit administration, program coordination, public health, community outreach, government relations, communications, or a related area preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Experience working with hospitals, health care organizations, community-based organizations, government agencies, elected officials, associations, or nonprofit organizations is a plus.

WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This is a hybrid position based in the Los Angeles area, with remote work generally available on Fridays subject to organizational and operational needs. Regular in-person participation and regional travel throughout Southern California are required, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties. Occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend work may be required for community meetings, events, or special programs.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
