Laborer

This short-term laborer position supports a 1–2 month project at a golf course facility, with the potential to transition into a longer-term role for individuals who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a positive attitude. You will perform general labor tasks, assist with site cleanup, and support light construction and demolition activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean and remove trash, debris, and materials from work areas to maintain a safe and organized job site.
• Assist with general labor tasks as directed, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials around the site.
• Use basic hand tools safely and correctly after receiving training and instructions.
• Support demolition activities under supervision once trained on proper methods and safety procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and instructions to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Arrive on time and work a full shift from Monday to Friday, contributing consistently throughout the project.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general labor duties in a construction or similar environment.
• Basic knowledge of using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and similar equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, lifting, and carrying materials throughout the shift.
• Willingness to learn demolition tasks and follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. shifts.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, site cleanup, or outdoor labor is helpful but not strictly required.
• Comfort working in an outdoor environment and adapting to changing weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a positive, cooperative attitude.

Work Environment

This role is based at a golf course facility and involves working on-site throughout the project. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing regular daytime hours. You will work primarily outdoors and in active construction areas, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and uneven terrain. The work environment requires the use of basic hand tools and adherence to standard safety practices. Appropriate work attire suitable for construction and outdoor labor, including sturdy footwear and any required protective equipment, is expected to ensure safety and comfort on the job.

This is a Contract position based out of Wailuku, HI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
