Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every other weekend call required | On-call requirement: 1 day of call per week; 1–2 weekends per 4–5 week schedule with a 30-minute response time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-volume operating room environment averaging 22 cases per day
• Perform both circulator and scrub roles across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Support cardiac, vascular, thoracic, general, robotic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, and gynecologic surgical procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Participate in on-call coverage including evenings, nights, weekends, and major holidays as assigned
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner and Accudose systems

Required Qualifications

• Active WV RN license or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; minimum 1 year of operating room specialty experience
• Cardiovascular (CV) surgery experience is required ; general surgery experience is also required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing across multiple surgical specialties including vascular, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecology
• Must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing 75–100 miles away may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures (gynecologic, colorectal, hernia, laparoscopic)
• Familiarity with complex vascular procedures including aortic surgeries, bypasses, carotids, and AV fistulas/grafts
• Experience with advanced general surgery cases such as Whipple procedures, liver resections, and colorectal surgeries
• Prior experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center or major teaching hospital environment
