EMERGENCY MEDICINE RESEARCH FACULTY - ASSISTANT & ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR

Overview University of Florida Department of Emergency Medicine, Jacksonville seeks a full‑time board‑certified emergency physician leader to conduct federally funded research, industry clinical trials, and provide clinical care and teaching. The position is supported by a robust research infrastructure with protected time and offers the possibility of advancement to an assistant or associate chair role. Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee federally funded research and industry-sponsored clinical, device, and biomarker studies.
• Provide patient care in a Level I trauma hospital and affiliated community hospitals.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in emergency medicine and related specialties.
• Lead the emergency medicine research portfolio, expanding areas such as pain management, EMS, pediatric asthma, heart failure, pharmacogenomics, posttraumatic sequelae, toxicology, sepsis, and infectious diseases.
• Manage research projects, collaborate with university partners, and maintain IRB and REDCap processes.
• Provide vision and leadership for the department’s continued federal grant successes.

Qualifications Required: MD/DO, board‑certified emergency physician with experience in federally funded research and industry clinical trials. Preferred: History of successful clinical research (funded or unfunded) in an EM setting. Health Assessment Required: Yes.
