OVERVIEW:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for all payroll-related tasks, particularly those involving pulling fitness spreadsheets for upload into the payroll vendor system and other responsibilities associated with semi-monthly payroll submission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Lead preparation of payroll twice a month and reporting, to include some updates and/or changes to HRIS/payroll information to ensure that the payroll processes appropriately.

• Processing all assigned accounts/tasks associated with a multi-state, multi-organization payroll, including being the Point of Contact (POC) for all tax accounts, payments, and new CLUB set-up with the established payroll vendor
• Act as lead in review of all changes that impact each payroll
• Generate reports detailing status of payroll concerns

Requirements and skills

·         Proven working experience as multi-state, multi-organization Payroll or Accounting Specialist

·         Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

·      Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, complex payrolls with related tax account and reporting responsibilities and proprietary software

·      Proficiency in English and in MS Office

·      Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills.

·      Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills/knowledge of Microsoft Excel .

·      Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize various tasks.

·      Able to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee data.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

·         High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s degree, or two (2) years or more of full-time college coursework equivalent preferred

·         Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Comfortable in a team-player role

·         Computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

·         Strict adherence to business and accounting philosophies, standards, and goals
