This role will be assisting our independent advisor business owner on all aspects of group corporate travel./ppThis position follows a hybrid schedule based out of our Midtown Manhattan, NY office, with Tuesday-Thursday onsite./pulliCreatively understand, evaluate, assess, and support our clients assistance needs and offer the best professional advice to solve travel and transportation problems and timing, ensuring that all governing corporate policies and procedures are followed./liliExpected to identify, prioritize and decide what tasks are necessary to fulfill the needs of the client./liliAfter considering and researching all available options, finalize group air, car, and hotel bookings by utilizing the Sabre reservation system./liliIssue tickets, exchanges, MCOs, voids and refunds for groups using the SABRE reservation system./liliInvoicing as required utilizing Sabre or Agent Portal./liliMonitor group logistics like itineraries, budgets, deposits and final payments./liliNegotiate with hotels, airlines, and tour operators to secure favorable rates and packages for groups./liliEnsure that booked and confirmed travel is reconfirmed prior to travel, immediately before and during travel, and that problem-solving abilities are used throughout the clients trip to ensure that all services are delivered to the clients satisfaction./liliAdept at using the internet to research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews, and costs to best meet customers travel objectives./liliHandle most customer service issues directly with the appropriate vendor(s) with the goal of achieving the best resolution on behalf of and in the best interest of customers and the Company, while keeping the independent advisor informed./liliInternational travel planning with knowledge of world geography, routing, faring and international requirements of traveling to foreign countries./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliBachelors Degree or at least eight (8) years of experience as a full-time travel agent, booking individuals and groups for domestic and international travel, using public and private carriers./liliStrong knowledge of Sabre reservation system (preferably in graphical mode) including GDS formats, short cuts, enhancements, pricing, fare calculations, e-ticketing, and exchanges./liliMust be a self-starter who can independently, with minimal supervision and assistance, service the travel and other concierge needs of GTC clients efficiently, accurately, and with a personal touch, while always maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills to clearly relay information to clients and counsel them on all their travel options./liliExcellent dispute resolution skills./liliMust be well-organized and detail oriented./liliEnthusiasm and willingness to learn/liliThrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple responsibilities./li/ulpstrongPAY AND BENEFITS/strong/ppOur benefit offerings include choice of two medical plans and two dental plans, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), company-paid life insurance and ADD, optional additional life insurance and ADD, disability insurance, paid parental leave, paid time off, 401k Plan with company match, discounted employee travel options, access to LinkedIn Learning webinars and courses.
