BartenderDepartment: Food & BeverageReports To: Venue ManagerClassification: Part-TimeCompensation: $20.50 an hourLocation: STAGE RED FONTANA 8463 Sierra Ave, Fontana, CA 92335Position Description: The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers at designated event day locations. They are responsible for providing event day service to Stage Red guests while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experienceEssential Functions:• Responsible for mixing drinks to order and serving customers• Responsible for having knowledge of all bar drinks and wines• Maintain valid food handlers and alcoholic beverage server permits required by the Department of Health• Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all work area and equipment• Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service• Ensures all merchandising and signage are properly displayed for each event• Must adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes• Obtain assigned workstation at beginning of a shift• Greet guests in a warm and welcoming manner• Accurately use POS system while serving high volumes of guests• Follow cash handling and tip reporting guidelines• Expedite guest drink orders in a timely manner• Stock product, set up garnish stations, cashier stations and display baskets• Thoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities• Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment• Understand and execute responsible alcohol service• Understand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety• Be comfortable with the Arena and know how to navigate personally, as well as, assist guests• Help maintain and ensure excellent customer service• Abides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of Conduct• Other duties as assignedExperience/Training/Education Requirements: • Must be a minimum 21 years of age• Previous bartending experience a plus• Previous customer service and cash handling experience is a plus• Basic math and cash handling experience• Must be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issues• Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysLicense/Certificate:Food Handlers Card/SERV SafeTIPS CertifiedAbility to:• Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamwork• Ability to work with minimal supervision• Ability to interact with all levels of customers and staff including management• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors.• Be detail oriented• Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday• Excellent organizational and planning skills• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Strong customer service orientation• Must be energetic, self-disciplined with a strong sense of initiative, is detail oriented and has a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.• Positive attitude and neat appearance• Work ethics encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environmentPhysical and Environmental Requirements:Tasks are performed with moderate supervision without assistance for 40% of the workday; pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 25 lbs. Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
