Certified Top Workplaces- 5 years running!Pay Rate: $16.90/Hour, Plus Tips opportunity!PurposeThe Bartender is responsible for welcoming guests, accurately taking all food and beverage orders, and making sure they are delivered in a timely manner to the guest's satisfaction. We are specifically looking for an experienced high-volume bartender that is available on nights and weekends.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide guests with accurate and thorough information regarding menu items, pricing, and allergen informationRecognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat businessTake and enter orders into POS system promptly and accuratelyEnsure all the food and drinks are served promptly and according to specificationsEnsure that all the necessary stock is being replenished during the shiftMove furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipmentAccurately check guest identification to verify age of 21+ before servingProvide service food servers in a timely mannerFollow given precise drink recipes when dispensing drinksOrganize and prioritize serviceRespond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessaryComply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor lawsMaintain company safety and sanitation standardsPrepare guest checks through POS terminal functions. Process guest payments by cash, credit card, venue comps and all other tender typesCollect required signatures from guest and promptly close guest checksEnsure accurate accounting of all bar monies and independent banking procedures Sign all cash out slips legiblyEnsure complete and proper check out proceduresClean all spills immediately and place all trash in proper receptaclesInform management of any complaint, comments or incidentEnsure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completedRecord and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management immediatelyEnsure proper rotation of all liquor, beer, wine and consumable itemsKeep bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash, etc. throughout shiftMonitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a manager's attentionRefuse further service of alcohol to overly intoxicated guests in a courteous and safety-minded mannerRecord and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management immediatelyAssists and/or completes additional tasks as assignedQualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United StatesValid Driver's License21+ years of agePossession of or the ability to possess all state required work cardsMinimum of two (2) years related experienceExperience with POS systemsStrong beer and spirits knowledgeProper lifting techniquesGuest relationsSanitation and safetySafe alcohol serviceFull service restaurant operationsAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the publicWorking ConditionsWork indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floorsWork in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volumeFast paced, high volume, full service restaurantWork varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.Physical RequirementsAbility to walk long periods of timeAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of timeAbility to understand the speech of another personAbility to speak clearly so listeners can understandAbility to push and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlDisclaimerThis job description is a summary of duties, which you as a Bartender are expected to perform in your normal course of work.
