The PM technician Class III Rotator rotates on a 2/1, 3/1, or 3/2 schedule servicing customers and units in a designated region. As a member of the Rapid Response team the PM Technician provides maintenance and inspection of construction and mining equipment, engines or other assets as assigned. Maintenance is performed as defined by each manufacturer's recommended schedule. Waste oils, fluids and filters are disposed of in accordance with State and Company regulations. The technician monitors quality control for work performed and customer relations. Primary Job Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on construction type equipment. Complete service reports, timecards, and other paperwork legibly and understandably. Ensure all jobs are completed and performed in a proficient and safe manner. Complete OEM campaigns according to all documentation. Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments on fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, clutches; change filters and oil, lubricate vehicles and motor-driven equipment. Mentor and train new employees to ensure proper practices and safety requirements. Keep the work site clean after every job is finished. Take advantage of all service schools and training programs offered by the company. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years in a preventative maintenance or similar role. Mechanical aptitude. Requirements Understanding of the position and its relation to the overall business objectives. Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier. Ability to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing as outlined by the Department of Transportation. Lifting 50 pounds and ability to bend and twist several times a day. Ability to effectively and safely operate and test equipment. Knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in maintenance of machinery. Knowledge of safety issues related to tools, equipment, and supplies used in maintenance. Skills in use of a variety of hand tools, mechanized tools, jacks, and hoists. Flexibility to work flexible hours and days. Proficiency in Windows system (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). Dependability and ability to work independently. Good client relations skills. Professional appearance. Promotion and maintenance of a clean, neat, and safe environment. Ability to travel and stay overnight. Ability to abide by customer safety rules and regulations on customer sites. Protection of company assets and interests. Working Conditions Typical hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; weekend hours as necessary. Possibility of work in inclement weather conditions and/or hazardous environments. Temporary adjustments to hours of operation as work requires.
