This opportunity is with a respected healthcare provider seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for a full-time role focused on delivering precise diagnostic testing and efficient lab management under the supervision of a Clinical Director. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented laboratory professional with strong venipuncture skills and experience in quality control protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture on patients of all age groups to ensure quality specimens.
• Diagnostic Testing: Conduct accurate tests across assigned lab departments and troubleshoot equipment or procedural issues as needed.
• Quality Control Compliance: Adhere to SOPs for quality control, document corrective actions, and make informed decisions regarding test results.
• Professional Development: Engage in competency assessments, continuing education, and in-service training to maintain professional standards.
• System Utilization: Efficiently navigate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other relevant technology platforms.
• Professional Engagement: Maintain certifications, attend departmental meetings, and participate in educational activities.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Registered MLT or MT with valid credentials (ASCP, NCAMLP, AMT, ASMT, or equivalent), or certification eligibility within six months.
• Laboratory Proficiency: Skilled in lab instrument operations, test result interpretation, and handling patient samples.
• Communication: Effective communication skills for interactions with medical staff, patients, and customers.
• Patient Care: Comfortable working with patients across all age groups, providing a patient-centered approach.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of lab policies, procedures, and quality standards.
