Pay or shift range: $33 USD to $36 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Description Bering Straits Development Company (BSDC) construction division is a full-service general contractor. Their experience in single and multi-family housing, commercial buildings and industrial construction and renovation. Applicants will be notified via email or phone within ten business days regarding application status. Diagnose vehicle problems using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Repair or replace faulty components such as brakes, engines, transmissions, steering systems, and suspension parts. Conduct vehicle inspections and identify safety concerns. Explain repair needs and maintenance recommendations to customers. Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation. Follow safety procedures and manufacturer standards. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Automotive technical training or vocational certification preferred. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is often preferred or required. Preferred Valid driver's license. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will not have supervisory responsibilities. DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements This position does perform DOT “safety-sensitive” functions (as defined under 49 CFR Part 40) and is subject to all federal requirements related to Department of Transportation requirements for those performing, or on-call to perform, “safety-sensitive” functions. Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC). Additional Qualifying Factors As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
