What challenge will you take on?

As the Sedalia Quality Manager—reporting to the North American I&C Regional Quality Manager—you’ll be the senior technical authority for low-voltage building wire used in industrial and commercial settings across North America. You’ll sit on the Sedalia Management Team and ensure the plant delivers on its business goals while upholding a robust ISO 9001 QMS.

What you’ll own

• Grow a capable team of operational quality technicians with See–Do–Teach coaching, performance management, and hands-on support.
• Assure every product meets Prysmian and customer specifications and quality levels.
• Create and institutionalize standards, processes, and controls for quality.
• Lead implementation and upkeep of the plant Quality System and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Conduct quality process audits; continuously refine audit programs for better outcomes and customer delight.
• Run system audits across Sedalia’s QMS and product audits to confirm compliance by design, spec, test data, or trials.
• Authorize inspection, test, sampling, and training plans and methodologies.
• Use quality KPIs to gauge capability; drive CAPAs and verify/validate their effectiveness.
• Embed a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the plant.
• Partner directly with customers on product, application, and technical topics.
• Collaborate with North America HQ for reporting and knowledge exchange.
• Work closely with the Sedalia team to resolve quality issues and elevate service.
• Walk the floor frequently to engage employees and build alignment for process and product improvements.
• Communicate proactively with internal and external customers on all quality matters.

Are you a fit?

• Fluent in ASTM, UL, ICEA, and related standards for low-voltage building wire and cable.
• Skilled at translating customer technical needs into requirements and actions.
• Comfortable influencing at all levels; excellent communicator and collaborator.
• Track record of leading teams, cultivating quality culture, and enabling cross-functional wins.
• Experienced in practical problem solving with quality tools.
• Metrological know-how applied to manufacturing and testing.
• Strong grounding in ISO 9001 maintenance and improvement.
• Knowledge of auditing practices, validation protocols, design V&V, risk assessment, and mitigation.

Must-haves and nice-to-haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience); engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of management in a manufacturing facility (required).
• Mechanical engineering and/or metallurgy background strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to understand and communicate customer technical needs.
• Experience with internal nonconformities management.
• Confidence with common software applications.
• Wire and cable background is a plus.
• Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• ASQ certification is a plus.
