Certified Medical Assistant - CMA

Role Overview This position is for outpatient Certified Medical Assistants responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting. Key Responsibilities Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist with patient preparation, perform procedures such as EKGs, wound dressings, and support minor surgical procedures. Prepare and administer medications (excluding IV), collect lab specimens, perform phlebotomy, and support laboratory functions. Handle clerical duties including scheduling, documentation, referrals, and collecting payments. Facilitate patient communication, reinforce education, inventory supplies, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control protocols. Ensure patient safety, support new staff orientation, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited medical assistant program preferred. Certification as CMA or RMA from recognized governing bodies is necessary. Competency in clinical procedures, proficiency with electronic medical records, and strong communication skills are essential. Ability to work in a team, adhere to safety protocols, and demonstrate attention to detail.
