Registered Nurse (RN) - Family Birthing Center (LDRP)We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Family Birthing Center, specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D). This role is crucial for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns, ensuring both safety and support throughout the birthing process.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality care in the Labor and Delivery environment, including the management of both low and high-risk deliveries.Assist in all aspects of delivery, including the ability to "catch the baby."Ensure effective monitoring of mothers and infants using advanced fetal monitoring techniques.Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.Maintain accurate patient records using the Cerner EMR system.Participate in C-section procedures by circulating for the mother and baby.Provide support and guidance to new mothers, including breastfeeding assistance.Float to other designated areas as required based on staffing needs.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or related field.Current certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP.Experience working in high-risk obstetrical care is highly desirable.Ability to interpret EKG strips and provide appropriate care.Certification in STABLE is preferred.Must have experience in circulating during surgical procedures.Work Environment12-hour shifts, primarily days, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage.Self-scheduling is used, allowing for flexibility and balance after manager review.Two to four days of orientation on the floor with a designated preceptor.Opportunity for overtime and extra shifts based on availability and staffing needs.Patient DemographicsCare provided will involve a diverse patient population, including term and preterm infants, with a significant focus on both high-risk and antepartum cases.Additional NotesThis role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a dynamic team dedicated to excellent patient care in the Family Birthing Center.
