The Systems Analyst IV is a senior technical leader responsible for defining and governing the practices that ensure product area system stability, configuration integrity, and operational excellence. This role architects complex configuration solutions, leads major incident response, establishes enterprise level standards, and partners with leaders across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations. They drive modernization initiatives, implement advanced monitoring and observability, and raise OSIT's operational maturity. The Systems Analyst IV also mentors analysts at all levels and influences long range planning for the Systems Management & Configuration function. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.ResponsibilitiesLead major incident command, triage, and cross-team coordinationImplement and improve system monitoring, logging, and alert mechanismsIdentify systemic issues and propose durable technical or operational solutionsDesign, build, and validate complex configuration changes end-to-endEstablish configuration standards, patterns, and review practicesLead refinement discussions for system work and configuration tasksMentor Systems Analyst team members to build technical depthYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:HS Diploma required6+ years of experience in systems analysis, configuration, or enterprise operations3 years of experience with SQL/data analysis skills and understanding of cross system dependencies1 years of experience leveraging AI or automation tools within the software delivery lifecycle to improve quality, efficiency, or insightUnited States citizenship is required for this positionMust be able to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) or other related field with an emphasis in MIS. In lieu of formal degree, equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience may be consideredExperience with Azure cloud services, CI/CD, observability stacks, or automation frameworksExperience leading large transformation or modernization effortsDemonstrated leadership in incident management and change risk governanceExcellent executive level communication and influence skills3 years preferred using Elasticsearch, Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Devops or similar tool*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
