Supported Housing Specialist The Supported Housing Specialist is responsible for implementing a Permanent Supportive Housing program to support eligible adults with a serious and persistent mental illness. This role works collaboratively with local housing authorities, other social service agencies, and property owners/landlords to develop and provide stable, affordable, and long‑term independent housing opportunities through short and long‑term subsidies such as Section‑8 vouchers or other types of permanent housing. The specialist works with a caseload of clients who reside in Strafford County receiving the Bridge's subsidy. These individuals may or may not be receiving mental health services from Community Partners. Qualifications and Attributes Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in the social sciences or human services field. One year experience working with special needs populations; experience can be substituted for formal education. Ability to work flexible hours to provide on‑call support and respond to after‑hours concerns and emergencies. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to utilize technology provided to perform requirements of the job. Valid driver’s license, proof of adequate automobile liability insurance, and reliable transportation required.
