About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Telemetry Intermediate)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Telemetry Intermediate unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COVID pneumonia, atrial fibrillation with RVR, tachy/brady syndrome, and syncope
• Administer and manage IV drips including Cardizem, Lasix, renal dopamine, and nitroglycerin under central telemetry monitoring
• Operate and document within an EPIC EMR system
• Manage patients on BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and Vapotherm (no ventilators)
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining the same patient ratio of 1:5

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Ability to work every other holiday
• Must comply with drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a telemetry, intermediate care, PCU, or stepdown nursing environment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Experience with central telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
