Description
American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position supporting multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, general, neuro, and robotics.
Details
- Short term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
- Rotates through orthopedic, general, neuro, thoracic, vascular, GYN, urology, robotics, and ENT cases
- Robotics experience preferred (daVinci & Mako)
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Weekend shifts will be scheduled and required
- On-call required, up to 5 shifts per month including possible weekend call
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- BLS certification required
- WA state license required if applicable
- Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and instrument processing
- Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties and procedures preferred
Additional Information
- Supports surgical procedures across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, neuro, vascular, GYN, urology, ENT, and thoracic surgery
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
- Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- All RTO requests must be submitted up front at time of consideration
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
