Veterinary Technician Join our team at Cedar Bay Veterinary Clinic in Winter Garden, FL and make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! As a Veterinary Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a small animal clinic that excels in providing up-to-date, caring veterinary medicine to dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Our clinic offers a wide range of services including dental surgery, soft tissue surgery, laser therapy, critical care, prescription diets, nutraceuticals, laboratory diagnostics, and more. The candidate will be expected to work 36-40 hours per week in a 4 day work week schedule. Daily Responsibilities: Provide small animal care Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures Perform laboratory tests: fecal exams, blood chemistry, ear cytology. Assist with preventive care appointments Perform IV catheterization and venipuncture Dentistry procedures; scaling, polishing and dental radiography Required Skills: Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician Experience in anesthesia monitoring Proficient in sample collection and catheterization Knowledge of filling prescriptions and medication administration Ability to provide critical care and triage services Dentistry procedures; scaling, polishing and dental radiography Ability to hold, restrain cats and dogs for veterinarian examination Ability to lift dogs weighing up to 35 lbs Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner, arrive to work in a timely manner and maintain a positive attitude Technical Skills: Anesthesia Monitoring Catheterization Sample Collection Ultrasound X-Rays Salary and Benefits: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Holiday Pay Paid Time Off Hourly rate $22 to $24 /hour, commensurate with experience Company Information: Cedar Bay Veterinary Clinic is a one doctor small animal clinic that excels in providing up-to-date, caring veterinary medicine to dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Our clinic offers dental surgery, soft tissue surgery, laser therapy, critical care, prescription diets, nutraceuticals, laboratory diagnostics and more to our patients. Our staff members work as a team and in harmony to provide a fun and safe environment for everyone working at the clinic. We currently work Monday through Friday only from 8:15 am to 5:45 pm.
