Most importantly, our employees are part of a team that makes a real difference in the communities we live and work in.**Job Summary:**Location: Methodist Hospital Address: 8303 Dodge St. - Omaha, NE Work Schedule: 4 days a week from 6am to 2:30pm OR 12pm to 8:30pm with weekend availability required The Lead Room Service Ambassador assists the Team Leader in supervising the Room Service Ambassadors in their preparation and delivery of patient and guest trays to patient rooms within the hospital by using exceptional customer service and following departmental policies and procedures.**Responsibilities:**# **Essential Functions**1. Assists the Team Leader with the daily operations of the Room Service Ambassadors by supervising and motivating staff, performing productivity audits, and identifying any training needs to ensure consistent quality and productivity of employees.2. Assists the Team Leader with management duties, such as hiring, training, coaching, counseling, mentoring, corrective action, terminations, and evaluations, to ensure competent Room Service Ambassador Staff within the Food Service department.3. Prepares assembly area for room service tray production by conducting pre-service quality checks and maintaining the cleanliness of the assembly area to ensure the area is ready for the preparation of patient and guest trays.4. Maintains adequate level of food and supplies for appropriate service by ensuring par levels in food service area and nourishment centers are met and maintained.5. Assembles and delivers patient food trays to the patient's room by following Room Service guidelines to ensure all orders are accurate and delivered in a pre-established time guideline.6. Assists with the production and preparation of food items to ensure Room Service orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.7. Interacts and helps support patients, families, hospital staff, and Food Service team with Room Service orders and/or questions on a daily basis in a welcoming and professional manner to ensure excellent customer service is met and maintained.8. Assists patients with pre-meal service, including removing lids and opening packets, by following Room Service guidelines to ensure patients are satisfied and needs are met.9. Retrieves Room Service tray carts from designated areas and assists with the cleaning of Room Service trays to ensure continuity of service.10.
