Commercial Analyst

Our client is looking for a Commercial Analyst. This position is onsite located in Mount Juliet, TN.

• Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 + bonus + full benefits

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor sales performance, pipeline health, quote conversion, and productivity.
• Prepare and enhance weekly and monthly commercial reports, providing insights into business performance and key trends.
• Produce reporting on key accounts, business unit sales, and support the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process with accurate sales data.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and commercial insights to support Sales leadership in strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
• Partner with Finance and FP&A on sales reporting, pricing analysis, forecasting, and initiative tracking.
• Act as the custodian of commercial data, ensuring data accuracy, KPI consistency, and reporting governance across Sales, Finance, and IT.
• Support reporting automation by defining business requirements and working closely with IT.
• Manage pricing setup, customer price lists, special pricing requests, and monitor pricing performance to improve margins and conversion.
• Calculate customer rebates and sales commissions, ensuring timely reporting to Finance and Sales leadership.
• Manage field sample assets, including inventory, orders, returns, and transfers, ensuring accurate records and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• 4-6+ years' experience in analytical roles within Commercial, Finance, Sales Operations, or Business Intelligence.
• Experience supporting sales performance analysis is preferred but not essential.
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience using tools such as Python to analyze large and complex datasets.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in BI platforms such as Power BI.
• Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards) and working with IT to support data management and reporting is an advantage.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to quickly understand business drivers.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and performance.
• Curious and analytical, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable business insights.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders and present findings effectively.
• Collaborative, customer-focused, and willing to support a broad range of business priorities.
