Senior Project Accountant

Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Senior Project Accountant for a full-time, on-site role. Salary range is $100,000 - $130,000.

Our client is a well-established, growing general contracting and construction management firm in Manhattan, seeking a Project Accountant to join their construction accounting team. This is a firm known for a collaborative culture and strong employee retention — they're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, not just a next stop.

What You'll Do:

• Manage client billing on G702 forms and monthly requisitions
• Review and process PCOs, RFAs, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy
• Calculate retainage per contract terms and schedule timely retainage releases
• Manage and issue the monthly Pencil Requisition
• Verify subcontractor insurance compliance (COIs) and track renewals
• Process subcontractor payments on a progress payment schedule
• Manage purchase orders and ensure accurate system entry throughout

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred
• Construction or construction management accounting background a plus
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, fully on-site

Compensation & Benefits:

• $120,000–$150,000 base salary
• 3 weeks PTO (increasing to 4 after 5 years), plus 7 holidays + 2 floating holidays
