Work Environment

This position is based in our modern outpatient office located in West Wendover, Nevada. You will enjoy the benefits of a supportive team atmosphere, with an optimal patient-to-therapist ratio that ensures each patient receives dedicated, one-on-one care without the distractions of aides or technicians. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of athletes presenting with acute and chronic sports-related injuries to determine the most effective treatment strategies.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at facilitating recovery and improving athletic performance, adjusting as necessary based on patient progress.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and sport-specific training to enhance patient function and well-being.
• Provide individualized attention during each session, focusing on achieving optimal outcomes for your patients.
• Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and healthcare providers to create and adapt rehabilitation programs that align with athletes' specific needs and goals.
• Apply sports-specific injury prevention strategies and clearly defined return-to-play protocols to aid athletes in safely resuming their competitive activities.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making informed adjustments to therapy plans based on clinical judgment and patient feedback.
• Engage in our formal mentorship program to enhance clinical skills alongside a fellowship-trained therapist, fostering ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on athletic patients ranging from amateur to professional levels. This includes diverse age groups and skill sets, requiring an understanding of various sport-specific demands and rehabilitation protocols. You will gain valuable experience working with a broad spectrum of injuries, from sprains and strains to post-surgical rehab, tailoring approaches to accommodate each athlete's individual challenges and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with preference given to candidates holding an MPT or DPT from an accredited program.
• An active physical therapy license in the state of Nevada.
• Solid foundation in sports rehabilitation and orthopedic practices.

Preferred Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports settings is highly preferred.
• A record of working with sports rehabilitation protocols and experience in designing return-to-sport programs.
• Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and functional training methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and contemporary clinical documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and financial well-being. Benefits include:
