Electrician

Location: Tye, TX 79563, USA Yesway is an award‑winning convenience store operator established in 2015 with 449 stores across the Midwest and Southwest. Position Responsibilities Plan and prepare installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid hazardous wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Prepare sketches that indicate location of wiring and equipment or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings and flooring. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit bender. Splice wires by stripping insulation, twisting or soldering, and applying tape or terminal caps. Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools. Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads. Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments. Perform additional duties as directed by electrical supervisor. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience. Valid Journeyman Electrician license. Appropriate training and experience in electrical installation. Required Physical Skills Work easily and skillfully with hands. Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds. See well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors. Reach for, handle, and grasp wires and hand tools. Bend, crouch, and work in small spaces. Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
