Marketing Automation Analyst (Marketing Cloud)

We are seeking a hands-on Marketing Automation Analyst with deep technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to support the design, development, and execution of sophisticated customer marketing campaigns. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building automated customer journeys, developing personalized messaging experiences, and solving complex technical challenges within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This is not a traditional marketing or campaign coordination role. We're looking for someone who has been directly responsible for building, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing marketing automations in a production SFMC environment. What You'll Do Design, build, and optimize complex customer journeys using Journey Builder across Email, SMS, and Push Notifications. Develop and maintain automations using Automation Studio , including scheduled automations, triggered sends, imports, exports, and SQL query activities. Build end-to-end lifecycle marketing campaigns from strategy through implementation and production deployment. Create audience segments using SQL , Data Extensions, Contact Builder, and customer data. Develop responsive HTML email templates and SMS assets from scratch—not simply modify existing templates. Configure and support triggered communications and event-driven marketing campaigns. Troubleshoot campaign, automation, journey, and personalization issues in production environments. Ensure email templates render correctly across major email clients, including responsive/mobile optimization and dark mode compatibility. Collaborate with marketing, CRM, analytics, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable customer engagement campaigns. Required Qualifications 2–4+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) . Strong experience designing and implementing customer journeys using Journey Builder . Experience building multi‑channel campaigns across Email, SMS, and Push Notifications. Experience with Automation Studio , including: SQL Query Activities Scheduled Automations Triggered Sends Journey Entry Events File Imports/Exports Strong SQL skills for audience segmentation and customer data management. Experience building email and SMS templates from scratch using HTML and CSS. Hands‑on experience implementing Dynamic Content and personalization within SFMC. Experience writing and maintaining AMPscript . Strong understanding of responsive email development and email client compatibility. Experience designing email templates that support Dark Mode rendering. Experience troubleshooting production issues related to journeys, automations, triggered sends, and personalization. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications. Experience with Contact Builder and Data Extensions. Experience with customer lifecycle marketing or CRM programs. Familiarity with REST APIs and SFMC integrations. Experience using Litmus or Email on Acid for email testing. Knowledge of email deliverability best practices. Experience supporting enterprise-scale marketing automation environments. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a technically focused Salesforce Marketing Cloud professional who enjoys building solutions rather than simply executing marketing requests. You have owned customer journeys from concept through production, written SQL and AMPscript to personalize campaigns, built responsive HTML emails from scratch, and successfully supported live marketing automations in a production environment.
