Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Georgia-Pacific is seeking Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technicians for our Corrugated Packaging facility in Augusta, GA. Maintenance Technicians will refine skills in Industrial Electrical & Mechanical Crafts and support safety, uptime, efficiency, and profitability as part of the Maintenance Reliability Team by performing scheduled routine maintenance or unscheduled repairs. Salary : $36.43–$42.41 per hour (depending on experience) Shift : 2‑2‑3 schedule (7A‑7P / 7P‑7A). Training on 1st shift for one month (7A‑5P). Candidates flexible and available to work any shift are considered. Location : 1745 Doug Barnard Pkwy, Augusta, GA 30906 Responsibilities Support safe working environment by adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. Troubleshoot and repair industrial corrugated box making machinery. Diagnose electrical motors, frequency drives, PLCs, proximity sensors, limit switches, and relays. Troubleshoot industrial electrical issues (12VDC to 480VAC). Perform routine scheduled preventative maintenance. Respond to unscheduled floor calls with urgency. Use hand tools, power tools, precision‑measuring devices, and testing instruments. Provide own basic hand tools and rolling toolbox. Work any shift, holiday, weekend, and overtime as needed. Demonstrate self‑starting and disciplined work ethic. Collaborate with team members on problem solving. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical issues. Experience troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics. Proficient reading electrical schematics and technical drawings. Industrial electrical knowledge with advanced motor and frequency drive troubleshooting experience. Mechanical maintenance experience with conveyor systems, actuated valves, and welding. Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.). Prior maintenance experience in packaging industry focusing on converting/corrugating equipment. Associate’s degree in electrical and/or mechanical technology. Preferred Qualifications Advanced motor and frequency drive troubleshooting experience. Conveyor systems, actuated valves, and welding experience. Experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLCs. Packaging industry maintenance experience focusing on converting/corrugating equipment.
