Patient Account Representative – Follow-Up

Responsible for hospital billing, cash posting, and insurance claims follow-up. The role involves resolving underpayments and denials, verifying insurance eligibility, and communicating with patients and insurers to address billing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform cash posting and hospital billing activities.
Follow up on claims, underpayments, and denials.
Work with commercial payers, including Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Horizon, and IBX.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
Address questions regarding copays, deductibles, denials, and Coordination of Benefits (COB).
Resolve accounts accurately and promptly while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

2–3 years of hospital billing experience.
Experience with cash posting, claims follow-up, underpayments, and denials.
Familiarity with commercial insurance payers.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
