OB/GYN Physician - Macomb, Illinois

Join McDonough District Hospital, an independent 48 bed critical access hospital and recognized rural healthcare leader in west central Illinois, offering a 500K base salary plus a 100K sign on bonus.

Position Highlights

• Full Spectrum Practice: Provide prenatal care, routine and complex gynecology, major and minor surgery, and in office procedures.
• Perinatal Support: Work with a full time CNM team covering first call 10 days per month, an in clinic MFM trained sonographer, MFM physician reading partnerships, and established tertiary referral networks for high risk transfers.
• Maternal Care: Practice within a rural health system expanding women's services and supported by HRSA Rural MOMS Grant funding.
• Modern Women's Care: State of the art Women's Center renovated in 2020 with Cerner EMR and remote fetal monitoring access from home.

Schedule & Call

• Practice Schedule: 4 day workweek with two dedicated morning OR block schedules.
• Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, averaging 20 to 28 patient visits per day.
• Call Rotation: Shared call with one weekend per month required, totaling 7 days per month.
• Additional Call: Elective additional call coverage is compensated at 2,000 to 2,500 per day.

Facility Capabilities

• 3 state of the art LDR suites, 7 private postpartum suites, and dedicated triage and procedure space.
• Level II Nursery with dedicated pediatric and neonatal support.
• 24/7 anesthesiology coverage with an on site surgical team offering a guaranteed 20 minute response time for emergency cases.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: 500,000 base salary plus RVUs.
• Sign On Bonus: 100,000.

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Demonstrated competence across full spectrum OB/GYN, including surgical and procedural care
• Strong desire to lead and serve within a vibrant, tight knit rural community
