The Hollywood Farmers’Market isFood AccessLA’s oldest and largestmarket andoperatesevery Sunday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.This position requires working Sundays at the market (6:30 AM - 3 PM). HollywoodFarmers’Market(Sundays 6:30 AM–3:00 PM) Support Manager, Hollywood Farmers’ Market with the tasks related to the on-site operation of the Hollywood Farmers’ Market which include, but are not limited to: Operateandassistwith physicalset-upandtake-down of theInformation Booth Serve as the primary on-site Information Booth staff person Gather,organizeandmaintainmarket supplies Respond toquestions, concerns, and inquiries from vendors, customers, volunteers, and community partners. Communicate market policies, activities, and rules to all vendors Check in, orient, and provide on-site training and guidance to market volunteers Assistvendors with proper placement in stalls EnforceFood AccessLA rules and other pertinent Regional, State, and Federal laws and regulations (Direct Marketing, California Retail Food Code, etc.) Maintain market groundsand assure the market site is clean once the market is closed and vendors have left Distributeloadlists, market memos,andother marketcorrespondencetomarketvendors Maintainmarketsupply inventory and organizemarket storage space Supportspecial eventsand market programmingsuch as food demonstrations, cultural celebrations, book signings, etc. Facilitateand recordmarketandFood Access LA merchandisesales,conductingperiodicinventory counts

REQUIREDSKILLSANDEXPERIENCE:

Fluency in Spanishhighly preferred Excellent organizational and time-management skills Exceptionalpeople skills and verbalcommunication skill set Experience or interest in farmers’ markets,communityhealth,nutrition, foodassistanceprograms, and community outreach. Experience working collaboratively withand ability to community effectively witha wide variety of individuals, businesses, and organizations. AvailableSundays

DESIREDSKILLSANDEXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with the Hollywood Farmers’ Market or Hollywood community Experience working at a Certified Farmers’ Market (vendor, management, staff,etc) Experience working withunderserved, low-incomecommunities withawarenessand integrity.

PHYSICALDEMANDANDWORKENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tostand, walk, lift, talk, hear, reach, stoop, and kneel.Work will take place outside in rainy, hot, or cold weather conditions, which may occasionally require standing for up to 2 hours, or lifting up to 50 lbs. May perform related duties as assigned by management. Mayperformrelateddutiesasassignedbymanagement.
