Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a high acuity floor requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• High acuity Med Surg/Respiratory Care Unit setting
• 20-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5, sometimes 1:6
• Common diagnoses include PNA, COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end of life, and wounds
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, three shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May be required to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin locations
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• BLS required, along with NIHSS prior to start and ACLS
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Must complete a Dysrhythmia Exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%
• Driver's license with address matching demographics required
• NURSYS report and verification of all active RN licenses required

• Provide care for medically complex patients on a high acuity Med Surg/Respiratory Care unit
• Holiday coverage is required
• Weekly orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted with a local rate for those within 50 miles
• Radius rule of 50 miles determines eligibility for standard travel pay rate
• Returning perm staff eligible to apply as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• 3 professional references required once committed, including at least 2 from leadership
