Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule

Weekend requirement: Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Patient ratios: Day/Evening 5:1 (stretch 6-7); Nights 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10 if staff call-offs).

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent RN experience required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Active NY RN license in-hand is required for submission.
• Experience with MS/Tele skills; dysrhythmia interpretation and management; rapid response/code team use; IV therapy and phlebotomy competency; peripheral line care/management.
• Knowledge of respiratory skills including nasal cannula, oxygen masks/tanks, and non-invasive airway management.
• Familiarity with wound care is preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred, as internal notes indicate it may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge planning.
• Utilize rapid response protocols as needed.

Compliance / Notes

RTO (time-off) expectations: Keep close to 1 week; cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO.
