Description In collaboration with supervising physician(s), the PA directly manages the care of complex acutely ill patients with or without chronic diseases via face-to-face, telehealth, or other communication devices. An expert in patient care who can provide quality care, perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and medical history. The PA can order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic tests. The PA can diagnose, develop appropriate treatment plans, prescribe medical regimen, and educate patients/family regarding diagnosis and plan of care. The Delineation of Privileges helps structure the care and management that the PA provides for patients. The PA works collaboratively with physicians, staff, and administration to ensure quality of care across the health system. The PA can be a team leader during code rescue/blue. The PA integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into their scope of practice. When available, the PA may participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, discharge planning, and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. The PA participates in and facilitates patient throughput, optimal patient outcomes, optimal length of stay and improved patient satisfaction. Estimated pay range for this position is $72.00 / hour depending on shift as applicable. Qualifications Degrees Required education is a Master Science Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred. Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Additional Qualifications 5 years acute care nursing experience required. Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CEUs and licensure. DEA License required as per specialty/function. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function. Nurse Practitioner National Certification required. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location. Oncology RN or ARNP experience preferred. Qualified PAs Will Require Masters Degree required Valid Florida PA License NCCPA Certification DEA License BLS Certification Oncology experience preferred Must be compliant with state of Florida requirements for CMEs and licensure.
