Day Habilitation Specialist

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Teach skills needed to promote independence, inclusion and productivityTeach/model appropriate social skillsProvide transportation to and from the day habilitation sites, as well as in the communityProvide supervision to individuals in accordance with the habilitation planComplete all required documentationMaintain a valid NYS Driver License; complete all documentation including NYS Law and Agency procedures vehicle logs in a timely and complete manner, communicate condition of vehicles to Supervisor/CoordinatorAttend meetings and trainingsParticipate in recreational trips and community outings as scheduled by programReport all incidents in a timely fashionComply with OPWDD regulationsQualification:Possess a high school diploma/GED.At least one year of experience working with intellectually/developmentally disabled populations.Valid NYS Driver license; must successfully pass the required road test
