Job DescriptionJob DescriptionREAL Inc. is seeking Direct Care Staff to assist individuals in acquiring, developing and accessing functional skills and supports (both social and environmental) needed to perform more successfully in the community and at home. Available shifts: Available shifts Monday-Friday afternoon Saturdays and Sundays all day. No overnightsDescription:Assist individuals with acquiring, maintaining and enhancing skills to include independent living and activities of daily livingTeach/model appropriate social skillsProvide supervision to individuals in accordance with the individual’s Staff Action PlanComplete all required documentation timely and in accordance with the Staff Action PlanProvide assistance with travel training if neededAttend meetings and complete assigned trainingEncourage participation in exploring the community and its resourcesReport all incidents in a timely fashionComply with Agency’s policies and procedures as well as OPWDD regulationsQualifications:Must possess a High School Diploma/ GEDAt least one year of experience working with intellectually/ developmentally disabled populations
