Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead our FOH team. An ideal candidate will have at least one year's experience in a management role, be passionate about (preferably Italian) food and beverages, and be a great communicator. You'll be a visible, hands-on presence on the floor, setting the tone before doors open, steering the room through service, and closing the night down right.

We've grown from a food truck with an online-only takeout business to a full service restaurant in five years by striving to be a little better every day. A great candidate will share this ethos. We are always striving to make our game a little stronger, and we are looking to add someone to our team to help us on that journey.

We are a small independent pizza restaurant in the heart of Del Ray (Alexandria, VA) and have been open since 2021. We care about craft, quality, and doing things the right way, but we also care about enjoying the time we spend together. Pizza is what we're known for, but our team's background runs through Michelin kitchens and dining rooms. We pride ourselves on offering the best possible craftmanship and make everything in house from the ice creams to the cheese we put on our pizza. Responsibilities:

• Own shift operations from open to close, including reservations, phones, and daily pre-shift
• Lead an active floor presence, coaching the team in real time and stepping in to solve service challenges as they arise
• Manage the pace and feel of the dining room: guest flow, ambiance, and waitlist
• Build genuine relationships with regulars and VIP guests
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cleanliness standards, and cash handling
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and leadership, including daily shift notes that keep the whole team aligned
