Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

$2252.16/week -

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care settings. Supports mothers and families through compassionate, evidence-based practices, ensuring safe and efficient perinatal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform comprehensive assessments of OB/GYN patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, and recognize early signs of complications.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn health.
  
  
• 
  Document patient findings, procedures, and education accurately in electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Respond to emergencies swiftly, including attending C-sections and supporting neonatal resuscitation when required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent OB/GYN nursing experience in LDRP settings.
  
  
• 
  High proficiency in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units, including triage, circulating, and newborn care.
  
  
• 
  Active and unrestricted Michigan or equivalent-state RN license.
  
  
• 
  Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
  
  
• 
  Completion of AWHONN training or certifications preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to pass a dysrhythmia test and demonstrate strong clinical judgment.
