What We Are Looking For: Ultrasound Technologist, Full Time Location: Onsite Bedford Park Days/Hours: Monday -Thursday, Hours vary between 7:00 am - 7:30 pm Overview Of Key Responsibilities: Document patient's medical history prior to any examination Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient’s chart Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician Provide education, training and direction to new technologists Perform all job related functions as an Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner Perform all other duties as assigned Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions Qualities You Should Possess: Quick, accurate decision making Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations, working in fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary Effective, composed communication to address patient’s questions Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care Education, Experience & Requirements: ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular Experience in Breasts CPR-BLS Certification Benefits & Total Rewards: Company paid time off and medical insurance: Paid time off, Vacation, plus 6 designated Holidays Comprehensive Medical Insurance with multiple plan options and employer premium cost-sharing Employees have access to a selection of ancillary benefits to customize their coverage through employee-paid options: Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance and AD&D Short and Long Term Disability Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Accident Insurance 401(k) with 4% company match, when eligible Additional Perks: Paid on-site training Annual uniform allowance Competitive pay and growth opportunities Quarterly appreciation breakfast/ lunches Bright Light Medical Imaging is impacted by the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for recruiting from vendors such as Indeed, Glassdoor, Zip Recruiter and LinkedIn as a result of these vendor’s presentation of received resumes in their portal.
