Basic Job Functions: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems, bearings, gear boxes, motors, shredder, eddy current, baler, etc. Acetylene torch and plasma cutting MIG welding and stick welding using 7018 Change liners, grates, hammers, etc. Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
